Born in Linden, California, Aaron Judge was adopted by Patty and Wayne Judge, both dedicated teachers, the day after his birth. He grew up with his elder brother, John, who was also adopted. At the age of 10 or 11, his parents told him about his adoption, and Judge recalls that he knew he didn’t look like them. Despite being adopted, he had a loving and supportive upbringing. Growing up in California, he rooted for the San Francisco Giants as a child.
During his time at Linden High School, Aaron Judge proved to be a versatile athlete, excelling in three different sports. He played as a center for the basketball team, a wide receiver for the football team, and a pitcher and first baseman for the baseball team. With his impressive athletic abilities, he set a school record for touchdowns in football and was the basketball team’s leading scorer. On the baseball field, he helped lead the Linden High School squad to the Division III playoffs of the California Interscholastic Federation.
