Charles Early Life and Education:
Charles Novia was born into a polygamous family in Benin City, Edo State. His mother, nee Uwaifor, was a singer, and his late father, Mr. Igbinovia, was a gifted but unpublished writer. Interestingly, his mother was the older sister of the renowned singer Sir Victor Uwaifor. Charles Novia developed his creative talents from a young age and started writing at the age of six. He pursued his passion for the arts and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Dramatic Arts from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 1993.

Charles Novia’s career began to take shape when he joined Jazzville in 1998 as a stand-up comedian and MC. He later became the professional singer for the establishment. Prior to venturing into filmmaking, he worked as a national television presenter and actor, even being part of the sitcom “One Big Family.” His film “For Your Love” earned recognition at the Nigerian Film Festival in Amsterdam, where it was screened.
