Esther Audu was born to Mr. James Audu, a retired military officer, and grew up with her five siblings in Ikeja, Lagos. She hails from Olamaboro in Kogi State. Esther attended primary and junior secondary school in Lagos before her family moved to Abuja in 2002. There, she completed her secondary education and later pursued a degree in Business Management at the University of Jos, Plateau State. In 2010, she graduated with a BA in Business Management.
Esther’s passion for acting was sparked during her time in high school when she was part of the Drama and Literary clubs, performing in stage plays. In 1996, she represented Nigeria at Kidafest in Ghana, which further fueled her interest in acting, leading her to pursue it as a career rather than her initial dream of becoming a newscaster.
