Admission Requirements for UTME Candidates:
If you’re aiming to secure admission through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) into AAUA, here are the requirements you must fulfill:
- Age Requirement: Candidates should have attained the age of 16.
- O-Level Results: Candidates must possess a minimum of five “Cs (Credits)” grades in their O-Level results, including English Language, Mathematics, and three other subjects relevant to their chosen course of study. For example, an aspiring Medicine student must have a “C” in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- JAMB UTME Score: Candidates need to score at least 180 in the JAMB UTME examination.
- AAUA Post UTME Screening: Candidates must take the AAUA post UTME screening examination and perform well, with the performance requirement varying based on the chosen course.
- Correct Subject Combination: Candidates must select the appropriate subject combination for their intended courses.
- Cutoff Marks: Candidates must meet the designated cutoff marks for their desired courses to qualify for admission.
- Single O-Level Result: Candidates are allowed to use only one result, whether from WAEC, NECO, or GCE. Two sitting results are not accepted.
Admission Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates:
For those considering Direct Entry admission into AAUA, these are the requirements to fulfill:
- JAMB Direct Entry Form: Candidates should obtain the JAMB Direct Entry form from JAMB for application.
- Age Requirement: Candidates must have reached the age of 16.
- O-Level Results: Candidates must have a minimum of five Credits in their O-Level results, including English Language and Mathematics. However, AAUA does not accept two sitting results.
